Marisa de Lempicka cup – limited edition in tribute to art deco
The Marisa de Lempicka cup design was born out of inspiration and passion for art, as well as a desire to preserve the extraordinary legacy of Tamara Łempicka, one of the most acclaimed artists of the 20th century. This unique work of porcelain applied art was created in collaboration with Marisa de Lempicka, the painter’s great-granddaughter, whose mission is to popularize her great-grandmother’s legacy and give it a modern, timeless dimension.
The idea was born during Marisa’s visit to a Polish manufactory in October 2023, when she was able to see for herself the intricate processes of handmade porcelain production and admire centuries-old craft traditions. Fascinated by the precision, patience, and artistry behind each stage of porcelain creation, she decided to bring her own vision of a cup combining Art Deco elegance with the luxury of contemporary design to life.
The charm of art deco in the details
Every element of the Marisa de Lempicka cup has been designed to harmoniously reflect the spirit of Art Deco – a style that continues to delight with its striking geometry, luxury, and modern approach to beauty.
This masterpiece of functional porcelain is not just an ordinary vessel—it is an object that combines art, history, and the everyday ritual of drinking coffee or tea into a single, coherent, unique whole. Every sip from this cup becomes an experience full of aesthetics, pleasure, and admiration for craftsmanship.
Each year, the cup is released in a limited series of only 250 pieces, and each edition is distinguished by its individual decoration. This makes each model not only part of a collection, but also a unique item with growing collector’s value.
Decoration for 2024 – harmony of luxury and precision
The limited edition for 2024 has been designed with attention to every detail:
-
Cup – hand-painted with cobalt and gold, decorated with geometric ornaments inspired by the art deco style.
-
Gilded earring – a sophisticated detail that adds subtle elegance to the whole.
-
The square base of the cup, perfectly matching the square center of the saucer, emphasizes the modern character of the design.
-
Porcelain non-spill cup – also decorated with gold and cobalt, combining functionality with an aesthetic complement to the composition.
Exclusivity and authenticity
Each cup is handmade by experienced porcelain masters, who give it its individual character. To further emphasize its uniqueness, each piece is marked with special underglaze and overglaze marks, and has its own number from a limited series.
The cup comes with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY, which contains detailed information about the design, year of design, and handcrafting technique. This document not only confirms the originality of the product, but also gives it the prestige of a collectible work of applied art.
Heritage and innovation
The Marisa de Lempicka cup is a perfect example of a harmonious combination of artistic heritage and modern craftsmanship. On the one hand, it pays tribute to Tamara Łempicka, an artist who shaped the aesthetics of an entire era, and on the other, it proves that traditional manufacturing techniques can inspire contemporary designs.
This porcelain goes beyond mere functionality—it transforms everyday life into a luxurious ritual. Owning it is not only a pleasure to use, but also a source of prestige that comes from owning a limited and unique piece.
Manual production and marking
Each cup is entirely handmade – from shaping and decorating to firing at high temperatures. Experienced painters apply ceramic paints by hand, creating unique patterns and gilding.
Special markings—both underglaze and overglaze—provide additional security, confirming authenticity and protecting the product from counterfeiting attempts.
Certificate of Authenticity
Each cup comes with a certificate that not only guarantees its origin, but also serves as an elegant collector’s item. This document elevates the product to the status of a unique work of art, rather than just an everyday object.
Packaging – ready for gift giving
The Marisa de Lempicka cup is packaged in a dedicated, elegant gift box that perfectly highlights the luxurious character of the product. This makes the cup ready to be given as a unique gift – ideal for both porcelain connoisseurs and those looking for an original gift with soul.
