The painting “Pełnia Lata” (The Height of Summer) appeared on the cover of the German fashion magazine Die Dame in August 1928.

In the biography she dedicated to her mother, Lizette de Lempicka-Foxhall wrote that Raphael’s “la belle” approached Lempicka during one of her daily morning walks in the Bois de Boulogne. Lempicka was enchanted by her beauty. The artist invited her to pose for her, and the young woman agreed. The collaboration was quite fruitful, as she continued to pose for Tamara Łempicka for over a year.
