About the painting “The Height of Summer”

In August 1928, the painting “Pełnia Lata” appeared on the cover of the prestigious German fashion magazine Die Dame.

According to the memoirs of Kizette de Lempicka-Foxhall, the artist’s daughter, the inspiration for the work was a young woman whom Lempicka met while walking in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris. The artist was enchanted by her beauty and invited her to collaborate. The model posed for her for over a year, and “Pełnia Lata” became one of the most recognizable paintings in Lempicka’s oeuvre.

• The painting is transferred onto a porcelain plate using screen printing and fixed at high temperatures.

• On the reverse side, there is Tamara de Lempicka’s logo and a description with the limited edition number.
